Hi folks,

I was wondering what do you do to not have to get up at night?

Every month I have 2 or 3 nights where I sleep 7h without waking up. How can I train my pouch to do that?

I mean every time I have to get up at night it is not because the pouch is full, it is just a little itching but I do it anyway since I think it is my body telling me to get up and go.

Unfortunately these nights when I have to get up are very draining. I also have the suspicion that my skin needs a long good night's sleep because when I don't get that long sleep, my face seems to be wrinklier and I kinda look like shit.

Do you experience the same thing? Do you have any advice on how to deal with this?

If I wake up in the night, but my pouch doesn't need me to use the toilet, I roll over and go back to sleep. I might check to make sure nothing is amiss, and I do keep washcloths in my nightstand in case there is trouble (generally only when pouchitis is out of control).

Could you try just going back to sleep?

How do you know that your pouch doesn't need to be discharged? I go because I fear I will lose control when I go back to sleep but I will try and report back.
