How to add a picture?

I'm in my profile settings and see where it explains that I can add an avatar/picture, but I'm not able to. Can anyone help?

Once you are in the edit profile screen, choose avatar, then you need to go to "custom avatar" to upload a photo from your computer. Crop a photo to a close-up before uploading, otherwise there won't be enough detail to tell who it is.

In the Avatar Selection section select 'Custom Avatar.' Then 'Upload Custom Avatar' through the browse function. Then 'Update Avatar.' Voila. Or Viola is you're a plant person.
