There is no "right" or "wrong" answer and quite honestly I don't even count. Sometimes I go less, sometimes more. I honestly just don't keep up with it...........I'd say if your going upwards of 20+ times a day, somethings up. If I had to put a "number" on how many times I go, I'd say I average 6-10 times, but, sometimes as little as 3-4..........I'm active and keep busy, the busier I am the less I tend to go as I'm occupied and don't focus on it.
I do know, for me, that mexican food, brings on the bowel movements pretty quick! LOL
I'm sure that wasn't what you were looking for, but, just being honest.
I never count either. It really depends on what and how much you eat. I stressed about the number before I had my surgery, but five years out, I just don't even think about it. If I had to guess I would say a normal day is probably 6-8 times. If I don't eat I get really watery output and I will need to go more frequently. If I eat too much I will have to go more frequently.
20 or more. It does not matter what I eat because everything causes issues. The only time I can get below double digit bathroom visits is not to eat anything all day long.
i am 3 week post take down and my bowel movement has go down from 10-12 bm a day the first 4 days to 5-6 bm a day no ploblem with food exept candy and dezert and a burning in the edge of the anus to the inside. continent 100% porcent i can holdet for hour with no pain learn how to pass gas in one week and urinete without having bowel movement and steel scare to go outside my home.
I am seven and a half years out, but have had a lot of GI issues (chronic pouchitis, and possible Chron's, been diagnosed but dr isn't 100% sold) the past two years. I go on average 5-6 times a day. Less if I am working, body just knows there is no time for a 20 min bathroom break. That's about how long it is for me. Any shorter and I am back in there within 15 mins. So I just get my phone out and hang out! Never had formed stools like my siblings who had the jpouch say they do. Mine is almost like a 4 month old. And if I go out, I know where the nearest bathroom is and the fastest way there within seconds of arriving.
I go 3-4 times during the day and 1 time at Night, thanks to the MD Anderson loose stool management program, You guys should look it up online and ask your doctor!! It has worked a lot for me!!
Luis, sounds like you are doing great! Especially only 3 weeks out. Things should only get better for you and you will be out and about in no time. I have had my pouch for over 30 years now and don't even worry about how many times I go
