Hello everyone

I thought i’d post this as a new thread, as it is a different subject to my other thread.

I have been having problems with blockages recently, and my surgeon will be doing a scope in a few weeks.

He thinks it’s either adhesions or a flare up of my Crohn’s.

It got me thinking, i know a narrowing can be caused by active inflammation or a scar tissue stricture, with the latter being more likely to need surgery.

I’m wondering how long it takes for active inflammation to turn into scar tissue this forming a stricture?

The area is just above my pouch, and i’ve been successfully treating it with Stelara for over a year.

But if it has now flared up, i’m worried about leaving the inflammation there for a long time and it turning into a stricture, my scope is in 3 weeks and i have been having problems for 6 weeks.

I guess i’m petrified of more surgery such as a possible resection in the future.

Thank you
