I’m 5 years post takedown and I am experiencing some pretty bad rash at the end of the day after I work and have to use the harsh toilet paper. I stopped using wipes and cream a few years ago, when going at work. But now I think I’m rethinking that decision.
How long did you all use wipes and/or cream? Or are you still using them? I have a bidet at home so I don’t tend to need them at home. I wonder if wipes and cream are the norm for everyone?

Hi there. 22 years out and I still use wipes at home after almost every BM. I only use A & D ointment when I’m sore down there. I don’t take wipes to work with me, although sometimes I wish I had one.

If you can install a bidet at work? Or bring a spray bottle. My bum is definitely getting 'soft' from bidet use and I also notice when I have no access to a bidet I suffer. I am using a small spray bottle. I also keep cream on hand and use that when things get sore. Bidets need to become more acceptable and available.

I am 19 years post takedown, I still use wipes and cream. I found that Aquaphor advanced theraphy ointment for babies works best for me.
Unfortunately I can’t install a bidet at work since I work at a university. But I’ll just carry a purse to and from the bathroom I guess. Just wondering if it’s normal. I’m using my daughters Triple Paste cream (diaper rash) and it works like a dream.
I use A&D plus a hydrocortisone cream. I have a bidet and couldn't live without it. I think it's a life long use.
I carry wipes in my purse along with Calmoseptine Ointment (if needed). I use wipes every time I go. The ointment is a paste and it's wonderful. Even good on irritated hemorrhoids. Been doing this for years and will continue.
