Anyone else suffer from high heart rate, without instance of pouchitis? For the second time in 3 weeks I have been in the ER due to tiredness and pain. It seems as if when I check in my heart rate is 118bpm and I end up getting an IV to bring it down. They don't diagnose me with anything is this just dehydration?

That sounds about typical for dehydration. Not dangerous. A resting rate over 100 is considered abnormal, but is not dangerous. Usually it is due to dehydration, anemia, fever or anxiety.

I developed heart rates over 230 (too fast to register on my home BP cuff) a few years back. I was OK, but had to have a cardiac cath procedure to fix it. It was completely unrelated to my j-pouch.
