Hiatal Hernia Surgery

Had my J pouch surgery 22 years ago; I am now 57. Had heartburn on and off for fifteen years but the past six months my hiatal hernia and esophagus have been very painful with lump in throat and burning in the throat; I also have Barrett's - very low grade. No PPIs work but when I do a detox regime it alleviates much of the discomfort. Big problem at night jumping up because the hernia stops me from breathing in the middle of the night. I have no heart problem, checked out okay.

Contemplating Hiatal Hernia surgery. Any advice would be appreciated.

Anyone have this surgery after J Pouch surgery?
