I had the J-pouch surgery in 2005. I never had any issues until about 2-3 years ago when I started having pouchitis once or twice a year. Everytime I get pouchitis I also have inflamed, extremely painful hemorrhoids. Is this common?
I have experienced them on and off for years. For me they generally correlate well with frequency of how often and amount of time spent sitting on the commode. They always seem to resolve on their own whenpoichitis symptoms lessen.
