When you look up issues with inflamed hemorrhoids, listed under possible causes are: Low-fiber diets, lack of exercise, prolonged straining caused by constipation... Todays J-Pouch specialists claim that J-Pouchers should maintain a low dietary fiber diet. Very understandable. So...

Now there is a lot of risk with low-fiber diets: diabetes, heart disease, cancer, metabolic disorders...

Ok. So, here comes the personal aspect of this discussion:

Somehow, we can call it miraculous, my bowel movements have dramatically changed since December, after 12 years! Instead of going to the bathroom at least 20 times a day, with most fluids passing through the J-Pouch, awakening me on the average 3 times a night, causing high risks of adrenal fatigue and metabolic disorders mimicking hypothyroidism, and guarranteed fatigue caused by never being able to truly enter REM sleep, and lets not forget about night-time incontinence issues when I suddenly find myself entering a deep sleep, suddenly being awakened by the accidents, I find myself sleeping most of the nights through since January. The only thing I changed in my diet (before removing all simple carbs in March) was I drink water with chlorophyll before sleeping.

The problem I'm having the past month or so (and I had it temporarilly in December and temporarilly in January) is what seems to be inflamed hemorroids. Mind you, the past month I have been walk-running every day up to 60 minutes per day. The past week or so, I've gradually upped the running aspect to 28 minutes of that walk-run (which is actually between 50 and 55 minutes) and the runs being uninterrupted for between 20-24 minutes, increasing intensity/speed/distance naturally as the thigh, calve and gluteal muscles increase. Fortunately my diet and exercise has brought my BP to 120/80. However, my issues with what seems like hemorrhoids has increased...

At the moment I am looking into natural remedies. I wonder if anyone has anything they can add to this discussion/concern/issue.
