hemorrhoid removal prior to takedown?

ive had this what i think is a hemorrhoid that used to pop up once in awhile with my colitis. im about 8 weeks away from my takedown and its making its presents known again. im wondering if i should ask my surgeon to remove it while there is only mucus going through and not food. any advice or tips are appreciated...
