Previously I wrote in to mention that my ostomy wound hadn't healed after 2 months post take down. Now it's been five months since take down and still I've seen no progress. I have to wear a new bandage everyday and I'm getting frustrated. The wound has stayed the same as it was 2 months ago and it doesn't look like I'm going to see any improvements any time soon. It's a small wound the size of a 10 pence coin and I don't know why it wont heal. I will be getting it checked out but if anybody has any similar experiences of perhaps some useful advice please let me know.

With regards to the j pouch everything is going great and I feel as if I'm one of the success stories, it's only the wound that is concerning me.

Rodger does your wound still have a small whole about the size of a qtip I went to the surgeon for mine to today because mine was flowing like a waterfall yesterday and they gave me some gauze that look like the size of a wick to put in the hole twice a day to allow the drainage to come out and not get trapped under the skin which will cause an infection if it's not healed you may have a wound infection so you should see your surgeon asap that could be why it's not healed yet I'm sorry I can't be more of help

It might do Michael, I haven't been paying much attention, initially it was quite hollow, I had to put dressing inside the wound and cover it with a bandage. After a couple of weeks I saw rapid improvements in the healing and now it's remained the same for months. I do believe that the middle of the wound is more hollow than anywhere else , however as you said if the hole is as small as a q tip its not something I would have pay too much attention to.
