Hello! I am over 4 years post takedown and have been doing great for the most part. But for the last week I haven't been feeling well and am getting concerned and confused!
I am bloated, not very hungry and have pain (not constant, not stabbing, yet not dull) on my right side (mid to lower). My bm's have decreased slightly and sometimes look like coffee grounds, loose or tar like. I am also super tired. I know I am somewhat dehydrated and am trying to drink lots of G2 and grape juice.

Sometimes I have some urgency and then I try to go and only a bit comes out and my gas has decreased too.

Could it be a partial blockage?

I don't want you to freak out or anything, but you probably should call your GI or primary doc and get some blood tests done. What you describe sounds like GI bleeding. You could be having a bit of an obstruction too, but your output is consistent with bleeding, which would explain your fatigue. If you pull down your eyelid and it is pale, you are quite anemic.

Do you have a rapid heart rate too?

I get partial obstructions from time to time and get the bloating, discomfort, and difficulty emptying, but not the tarry or coffee grounds stools.

Sure, grape juice definitely can cause a darkening of the stool. I get it with blueberries too!

For me, it is usually a few days to a week. Keep up with the fluids, and go easy on the solids. Even toast can build up in there. A smoothie or shake might be better.

Mushrooms are my kryptonite. I never seem to chew them up well enough... 18 years, you'd think I'd learn. Nope! I still love them.
