Hello All it has been awhile since I been on the website. I have J pouch snce 2006. I been on antibiotics the entire time. If I go off anything I starting getting gas and pain. It is like swallowing glass. I want to get off antibiotics so the dr is suggestiing dicyclomine and prevalite. I tired both last week and I had most of the side effects. Does any one been able to get off antibiotitics with J Pouch?
Some people seem to be having decent results with very low carb diets. I haven't had sufficient motivation to try it. If you do try it, I'd recommend using a probiotic like VSL, and giving it some time to work (i.e. change the diet well before stopping the antibiotics).
