head cold going into j-pouch creation?

i am at the end of a head cold and going into j-pouch creation surgery friday. thoughts or advice please...

I have gone into major surgey with the flu and came out of surgery without it any longer. They will do surgery as long as you don't have a fever. You'll be fine. I would tell your surgeon. I was given a zpack just to be on the safe side.
