Having a scope on Monday 21st july

this will be under anesthetic. the surgeon is just doing it as a precaution to have a look inside as a small leak/sinus came up on the pre takedown scan. he may clean up the area, if there is something there, but i am not showing any symptoms.

also he may perform dilation.

i tolerated colonoscopies fine without sedation but I guess this is a different kettle of fish.

i got a bit of anal discomfort when i last had a digital exam so I should expect a few days or more of discomfort after this procedure?

actually the claim authorisation form specifies dilation of stricture, so i guess this is why i need to an anesthetic
