Beer is rather notorious for this sort of reaction, particularly early on. Good news is that you are just a pup, and things will improve as you "grow up" pouchwise! I have beer and wine all the time, no problemo.
Most of us just learn what things might cause some extra trips to the toilet, and decide if it is worth the bother. For me, it often is, as long as I have access to a toilet.

Thx Jan for replying... The thing is I had a parianal abscess that I went to the ER for last Wednesday it actually drained on its own in front of the ER Doctor while she was examining me but before that they made me drink two cups of contrast for a CT scan and afterwards it drained but then the BMs occurred afterwards could it be the BMs after the contrast plus the healing of the abcess and the one beer on Saturday ? ... Again thx for always reaching out ..
Yes, it could definitely be the combination! Maybe give beer a pass again for a bit and then try again. I remember my first beer post-pouch very fondly... It was a nice, cold Rickard's Red!
Gin
I can only have hard cider. Which is weird cause I can't drink apple juice or regular apple cider
I can drink all liquors except red wine. Beer is no problem, although with the exception of a few trips I have made to local microbreweries with friends, I don't really care for beer too much. The issue I have with red wine is I think due to the tannins in the red wine. When I consume red wine I have a watery, explosive diarrhea.
No other problems though and although I am technically on a 4 drink a week limitation due to taking methotrexate, I have gotten away with cheating on that limitation my doctor gave me without jacking up my liver chemistries to unacceptable levels. My liver has told me to bring it on and although I am not really bringing it on I enjoy myself. I went out for dinner last week with 3 ladies from my CCFA support group, all of whom have Crohn's, and I drank 3 mojitos while they were drinking margaritas. I can't drink tequila but only because the taste makes me sick.
Getting back to beer - there is a sugar in it that might be a problem for some. You may want to look at the type of beer you are drinking and go to a dryer beer or ale or perhaps something microbrewed organically. Not sure what else to offer although I have a buddy who has his own beer blog and something of an expert and I will ask him.
Sure. Butt issues plus oral contrast can both cause problems.
