Again, different antidepressants work differently for different people. I take generic Zoloft and it works very well. All you can do is give each a chance. If you notice a bit of discomfort when you start taking one, you could try to tough it out for a few days to see if it will settle in. The problem with starting and stopping antidepressants quickly is that many of them don't have the desired effect for up to 6 weeks. That's why it's very important to try to stay on one.

Just because you're sprinting to the can doesn't mean it's not working. Remember, we have j-pouches and sprinting to the can is what we do. Try not to dwell on the fact that you're using the bathroom more than usual. It is what it is. I've never counted bathroom trips. If I eat something or take some medication that increases loo visits then I just deal with it. There are foods that seem to be exiting the other end as soon as they touch my lips. Spinach and beets are the most rapid transit foods. But I won't stop eating them - I just prepare for them.

Hopefully this will do the trick for you.

See, and I tolerated Celexa very well; I took it for 4 years and didn't have the symptoms you describe.

Not all antidepressants treat all forms of depression. Some are tailored more for anxiety or sadness. Your doctor will prescribe the best drug to treat the symptoms you are exhibiting. If that drug negatively affects your output, try taking it with food. Sometimes we just have to make things work for us, even though it can be an inconvenience.
