Two years ago today I was in the OR having my j-pouch formed by Dr. Manoj Raval and his team at St. Paul's Hospital. I will forever be indebted to this man and his surgical skills. My life now is full of hope and promise. I work full time in a busy emergency room and play the bass drum in two different pipe bands. My pouch, for the most part, functions beautifully. I am my own worst enemy when I eat too much citrus and/or blueberries.
My hope is that all other j-pouchers have as smooth a course as I have had and that my pouch lasts longer than I do!
