my output has been putting out all liquid.. Imodium has not worked. I have taken triple the amount of Imodium and no thickening has occurred. Also hurting near the stoma. , in the past hour my bag has prob became completely full of liquid at least 4 times maybe 5.. I've put out way more than I'm supposed too . Probably 3 liters. I can't keep up drinking with the water. Idk what I should do ? Any suggestions ..

It's most likely gastroenteritis (a GI bug/food poisoning). If you can stay hydrated you can probably avoid the ER, but if you fall too far behind you'll need an IV. Make sure you're still producing urine and it's not too dark - that's your best test. If you're able to eat, try some thickening foods. Everyone has different preferences, but rice, marshmallows, and bananas are common recommendations. Soluble fiber might help. Good luck!

How are you doing now? Has it slowed yet? 

I know that this is unconventional...but if you have a motion sickness medication (pill, patch, liquid, chewable...) see if you can get it down...it slows the peristaltic rhythm and allows your body to ease up on the output long enough to rehydrate a little...

They have been giving it to me here for 35yrs for the same reason and started back in the '70's as a way to control 'chronic gastro'....

But please, listen to Jan's and Scott's advice...do not allow yourself to get dehydrated...if you do, head straight for ER.
