Contrary to Holly, I've found laying on my left side with legs drawn up is very helpful. In fact, I've read many times before that laying on your left side is helpful, in general, with gas pains. I've suggested it to many people and they have found the same. Not sure why that is.

Two days out, the gas is very normal. It was the worst part for me, too. Maybe ask your docs if you can take anything yet to help with the gas? I definitely wouldn't take anything without asking first since you are just 2 days out.

Oh yes, ditto Scott. The crazy thing about all this is there are no hard-fast rules. The bowel has a mind of its own and what works for one, doesn't work for someone else. It's all experimentation.

Hey, Scott, I see you are in Towson. Small world! We lived in Bel Air for years. Went to a huge church in Towson....can't remember the name of it, though.
