Hey all,

I was at Mt. Sinai in downtown Toronto yesterday and noticed that they run an IBD support group several times a month, usually on Wednesdays (I think the next date is the 19th). I assume this is more intended for people living with IBD and not for j-pouchers or ostomates, but it may be something worthwhile to look into either way if you are interested in finding a support and live in the GTA. And perhaps they have other groups that might be better suited to no-coloners. Smiler I'm actually back at the hospital on Tuesday and I'll try to find out more information about the group, though if anyone is interested, I'm sure if you called hospital information they would be able to provide further details.

I have a Kock pouch. When I was in Mt. Sinai for my repair surgeries I went to a couple of the IBD support meetings that were held in the hospital during the day. There were people there who had j-pouches & ostomies or relatives of those who had IBD or the surgeries as well as those who were just interested in IBD. My significant other also attended one of the meetings with me & he learned a lot during the meeting. I found the meetings most informative & it made me realize that there were people out there who had much greater problems than I did. I feel it is worthwhile for anyone who is interested to attend one of the meetings.
