i have been suffering from what i can only guess is a stricture, multiple bathroom trips with very little coming out each time..i emailed my surgeons dpt on FRIDAY, knowing i wont here anything over the weekened, emailed again SUNDAY night just letting them know its gotten worse, today they called and i got an appointment this wednesday but its for the clinic..she has always dilated under anesthesia and if i have an appt just for the clinic you dont think they would call me in just to get insight into what it feels like and not do a dilation or anything, or possibly do a dilation without anesthesia? she knows the last time that happened it was traumatic and just plain aweful...idk feel scared but grateful at the same time, does this make sense?
When I asked my surgeon about this complication after advancement, he indicated they do a gentle dilation. I think you should be fine without anesthesia. Possibly they can numb you with licodaine or something prior to help.
