I had a total colectomy in July 2011. I was fine with the bag. In September 2011, I had the j-pouch surgery. I have had cramps ever since. I take pain meds if it is really bad. However, lately, i had these urges to go about every 15 minutes and I can't go that often, but i am miserable with what feels like gas.
Anyone have the same symptoms and/or solutions?

Yes, many of us have had this. Could be pouchitis and can be easily treated with antibiotics. There are lots of posts on here about it.

You likely should have a scope done to check for inflammation that can lead to these symptoms.

Note, there can be other diagnoses like cuffitis but from what you are describing it sounds like it could be pouchitis.
Any sudden change in your habits like you are experiencing for more than a few days should be brought to your doctor's attention.

It sounds like maybe it could be gas but unless you started eating completely differently than before it shouldn't be causing that much cramping. Besides pouchitis or cuffitis it could be IPS or a c-diff infection. There are many possibilities.

Take care
