Found experienced j-pouch Doctor in SE Michigan

After 4 yrs of hunting and being a guinea pig for GI teams, we found Dr. Jason Schairer. He works with Henry Ford hospitals. Has trained under Bo Shen from Cleveland Clinic and Dr. Shen told us about him. Thank fully! He saved my daughter from bleeding out- a torn rectal artory due to extreme cuffitus. Anyone looking in metro Detroit area-he is great and we are so relieved to not have to travel 7hrs. round trip every time daughter is ill. It has been a very hard year so far, after 2 years of relative ease.

So glad you found a great doctor. I have also found a great doctor but he is at U of M. Dr. Higgins. Also, my surgeon Dr. Hardiman is from U of M and she was so amazing. Sounds like Michigan has some great doctors.

Staying positive is all you can do each and everyday!!! No matter what life throws at you.
