i have to stick to this. i just got it yesterday for painful urination since my j-pouch creation but noticed today for the first time in my life i didnt think id make it to the can. just wondering if you guys think my theory made sense.

i will say the urinary pain has reduced greatly. wonder why no one prescribed it sooner. i started complaining in the hospital after surgery 2 of 3.
Flomax specifically acts upon the bladder neck muscles, basically it is selective. But, it can have an effect on other smooth muscle. Without the benefit of a colon and rectum, you may sense it more. Give it a few days for your body to acclimate, and if it isstill a problem you can resume Imodium (which increases rectal tone).

I presume you tolerate sulfa, since Flomax as a sulfa component?
