FLEET laxative oral - not my best idea

Hi everyone,

I have had a blockade in my in internal J pouch for 48 hours as someone who goes 8 - 10 time in 24 hours, a couple of teaspoons of fluids not good news. I have been in this situation many time and am desperate to stay out of hospital. I went to the doctors and a bright fresh faced young lady prescribed Oral FLEET.

As a good patient I read the pamphlet inside " do not take if you have bowel blockage" , I promptly ignored and downed the 45 ml bottle in three mouthfuls.

Please all of you learn from my foolishness!! It stayed down 45 min and now I have an extremely angry bowl. Fingers crossed things move soon or off I go to the dreaded hospital

Lesson learned read and listen to the little pamphlet
