Hi,

Today I had fistula surgery. My surgeon took out the setons and cut open the fistula track. I have an incision in my butt that looks like a pothole. It will probably take a couple of months to close up. I had my jpouch disconnected a couple of months ago due to Crohn’s disease and have an Ileostomy for now so my butt should heal quicker due to no stool going through it and not having to wipe there. Does this cure the fistula? Will it come back after the incision clises. Has anyone else gone through this?

Fistula surgery can be difficult, and the results can vary a lot. I hope you get a great result - try to take the best care you can of the healing wound.
