About a week ago I developed a fistula at my umbilicus (navel). A trip to the ER where they did a CT, confirmed this. (I've had my j-pouch for about 9 years). I have been having difficulty getting an appointment on short notice with my surgeon, but finally got an appt. with his NP tomorrow. What should I expect and what questions should I ask?? Is this likely to heal itself? Searching through some of the comments here under "fistula" have made me pretty worried.

No, not likely to heal itself. If this is Crohn’s, you need to get on treatment. Hope your appointment was informative.
