I had my first scope today since takedown and thankfully I have a picture perfect pouch. My anal stricture is finally gone so I don't need to go back for another year.

The one thing that is still bugging me is the fact that I am still anemic. I talked to my surgeon today and he was adamant that it has nothing to with this surgery and not having a colon. I asked him if it was an absorption issue and he said absolutely not that the small intestine does all the absorbing which I already knew. Just seems strange to me. He suggested I see a hemotologist so that's what I have to do to get to the bottom of this. I know that anemia seems to be common among the colonless so I'm not totally convinced it isn't an absorption issue.
