Hi everyone,
I finally have my appt tomorrow with the colorectal surgeon. I'm just curious, have any of you gone back to a temp ileostomy for awhile to help calm down problems? I was wondering bcuz I also have blockages all the time and figure maybe they can kill 2 birds with one stone? I know I have some nasty fissures and do get pouchitis quite a bit. They said they won't do anything about the scar tissue until absolutely necessary. I'm at the point where my quality of life sucks. My whole life revolves around pain. That is what I'm going to say tomorrow. Please find a way so that I can function... I think I'll lead with that. Anyone tried the temp ileostomy and if so, did it help? Thanks all.

I went back to an ileostomy 5 months after my initial connection because of a hole in my pouch. I had it for 7 months before it reversed again. Scars on my stomach are ugly as I was opened up 3 times.
