8 weeks post take down and I feel fatigued , unmotivated and generally sluggish,  I don’t seem to have my appetite back yet either I’m just eating out of necessity.  I’m up 2-3 per night and just feel so jaded in the morning. I was hoping at this stage I’d b getting ready to return to the gym but I’m not even close.  I’m 4-5 kilos down in weight still.  Anyways just wondering did anyone else have similar recovery time Or any tips that would b helpful.

Thanks peeps

Give it time...this is a normal part of the post-op process...anesthetic tires you out, the pouch is 'new' and your body is adapting, you are also dehydrating in all probability...make sure that you are drinking enough fluids to compensate the loss but also mineral salts (not just salt) but potassium and other major essentials...

A liquid or chewable vitamin supplement may help you too...probiotics to slow things down and get your body on track.

Be kind to yourself now and patient...this is a lifetime change and not a temporary fix so you need to let both your body and brain acclimate themselves to it in their own good time...They are not on your schedule...they have their own and you better get used to the fact that they are in control...so eat small meals, snacks, up your salt intake, try broth of tomato soup...and rest.
