for the past week I have felt from time to time (not constant) a very slight pain (really just a feeling which does not bother me but I do feel it) in my lower right abdomen (kind of just slightly above the pelvis). Maybe I can say it might occur sometime after eating, but maybe not). I had J pouch surgery 15 years ago and have never really had any problems of consequence. My surgery was a 2 step w/ my intestine sewed (I think) to my right side 6 wks prior to step 2 (the take down?) - anyway the off and on feeling is close to where my temporary ostomy was maybe near surgery scar tissue. Anyone else ever experienced what I am trying to describe?

Maybe just a muscle strain. I would not look to much into it.
yeah my brother who is a medical guy says one can get feeling, sensations, or even minor pain at the cite of incisions even many years thereafter and as you pointed out maybe a strain as I think I may have started to feel it after I subjected by 66 yr old body to a 4 mile jog w/o any warmup
Most likely it is just adhesions (internal scar tissues). They have been there since a few weeks post op. As long as the pain is minor and not constant, you do not need to worry about it.

Ms Dollar, I have seen your name attached to posts many times over the years on this website. I am impressed w/ your medical background and the time you take to address people's questions and concerns and I am sure there are many others who feel the same way I do. Thanks for all your time and expertise.
Thanks, I hope it helps. Much of the time people just need reassuring. But be sure to see your doctor if the pain is persistent, increasing, or associated with other symptoms. Online advice is OK, but not a replacement for a physical exam.
It is funny, but sometimes people worry about right lower quadrant pain being appendicitis, but that is one thing we do not have to worry about. The appendix comes out with the colon!
