I have familial polyposis and had a trans anal mucosectomy with pouch advancement done on 4/17/24

This scope Oct 10 is the 1st following my  rectal stump/cuff removal and pouch advancement

I’m already doing further homework as if the results are not going to be good

I’m still bleeding after the procedure but it’s intermittent within stools either embedded as streaks of blood or coated overtop over some stool pieces

I’ve googled over and over dr Kiran and he would be my go to

id consult about a kock pouch to convert from j to k..

I have questions though some of which are any obese patients with long time/term kpouches successful with their valve not slipping? I am a guy who is 5 feet 5 and 200 solid pounds

is a kpouch contradicted and reserved for height/weight proportionate folk? I’m class 1 obese…

this post probably belongs in the kpouch discussion forum

after results of scope will dictate what to do how to proceed

gastrectomy total on hold and being survillienced still

my jpouch will be 23 on October 15th 2024

for what it’s worth I suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder/thoughts  but have a lot of polyps in the rectum and the mucosectomy doesn’t remove all the polyps in the jpouch just at the cuff atz zone
