I've recently gone through some stressful life events and unfortunately this has caused a "relapse" of some anxiety problems I've had in the past. I generally prefer to avoid medications, but the anxiety was becoming a little overbeaing so I was prescribed very low dose Cipralex (aka Lexapro 2.5 mg) and I have been taking it for a little over a week. Unfortunately it has caused horrible nausea and wretching. I called my doctor who seemed to think the reaction was "unusual" for such a low dose and she said that in general, nausea is not that common with this drug.

Just wondering if anyone else here has taken this med and had a similar experience. Personally I don't think the nausea is worth it at this point and I'd like to stop taking it, but my doctor seems to think that the nausea will improve if I stick with it another week.

Anyone else here have a similar experience with this med? Could it be something to do with the pouch and absorption?
