I find that I have to change more frequently if I'm doing a lot of physical activity, sweating, etc.

Sounds like you may have a yeast infection brewing. Put Nystatin powder on, brush it off, then dab it with a barrier wipe before putting on your next wafer. I would change sooner than later as it might get worse.
Thanks for the reply and praise Liz. I called some of the companys and have some samples on the way. One of them, from Cymed, said their products are for active people, and allow you to sweat, without rash. Have you ever tried them? I have always been allergic to the barrier wipes, can you use the powder without them? Is there anything else to use to crust?

sherry have you tried the 3M cavilon no sting barrier wipes. They aren't as harsh as the other kinds that the ostomy nurses generally toss at us.

I've never tried the cymed. Keep hearing about them, and thinking I should, but what I have works like a champ, so afraid to mess with it.

Another idea I had for you is to try a different kind of wafer. As different adhesives may cause different reactions when you are sweating. I found out very quickly, that certain types of wafers were a huge no no on my sensitive skin.

I have, but it was a time I was having great difficulty with my skin. I will give it another shot.

I currently use sensura 2 piece click, which I love. I am nervous to mess around with it, and watched the videos for cymed, and have to say I am afraid to even try them. They seem so complicated. What wafer do you use?

sherry I use the coloplast sensura two piece also. But even in that category there are regular wear and extended wear wafers. Don't know which one you are using, but you can try the opposite (just order a sample from coloplast) and see if that helps when you are sweating.

Like you, that cymed thing looks way too complicated to deal with. Especially when you already have a system that works.
