I had another EUA last week to replace my seton strings (pouch-vaginal). My recovery has been a bit rougher than the last one - fatigue, heart palps, and the "V" end of the seton area hurts...

But what I am very curious about is that there is the outline of a large patch on my back which was placed there with tape (and itches). I have no idea what this could have been - I did not have it the first EUA about a 1.5 yrs ago. Anyone have thoughts why something was put on my back for a pouch-vaginal EUA? I was totally out of it going into the ER due to Versed (sp?) which I'd never had before.

Sounds like a "grounding" patch. It's a precaution to place them on a large skin area (like thigh, shoulder) during electrosurgery if a Bovie (cauterizer) is used. It "grounds" the patient from the electrical current being used on them. Doesn't mean they even used a Bovie on you, likely was a precaution of the OR where you had your EUA as a "just in case" measure.
