Also, no pouchitis! Beautiful clean looking pouch!
Sorry everyone but I've been eating tons of chocolate and carbs again. I've gained weight for the first time in a year.
Only on xifacan and cannasa now.
Wish me and everyone else a nice long remission.
Been battling this one since last Sept./Oct.

That's great news! Xifaxan is a good one to have working for you, since it apparently stays in the gut and out of the blood. It key side effect is financial, since it's horribly expensive, but I'm guessing your insurance is paying for it.

Yes Scott, good insurance but xifacan had at first worked, then didn't work. I was switched to Augmentum, took that for 2 weeks but had to stop that cause of a massive yeast infection and then restarted xifacan and now its working again. So frustrating keeping the bacteria in check. Thank you.

congrats on good looking pouch

Some drs have said that it is normal for pouches to have some level of inflammation. Have others heard that?

Yes. Even a little bit of inflammation effects me bad yet some people have no problem with a low level.

are you going to rotate of the xifaxan and onto something else then back to xifaxan? so that it doesn't wear out its welcome?

also beware of all that sugar and bad carbs... don't want xifaxan to have to fight that hard
