Elevated blood glucose

I had to send in a home test kit for a reduction in insurance. Cholesterol levels are normal but blood glucose was elevated at 114. Had jpouch surgery 4 years ago & I've never had elevated glucose levels. Coukd this be due to fasting & not having anything on my stomach early in the morning? I'll be going to my PCP soon but wondered if anyone had the same experience?
