On Tuesday 12/08/15, I had my most recent pouchoscopy. My GI said that while there was no sign of Inflammation or pouchitis,he did see increasing amount of edema.I am scheduled to see him at end of this month, does anyone know or heard of edema build up in a pouch? I hope you all have a great holiday season.Paul N

Paul - sorry to hear this. I have not (if I recall) had this problem with pouch. So many though. I hope someone will have an answer for you - above all - don't panic. Hoping for an easy fix for you.
This is a new one on me. Heard of fluid collections outside of the pouch, thickened bowel walls, and swelling associated with mucosal inflammation. But, I've not heard of just edema.

Thank You both Jan and Angela for your thoughts and help.I have researched every place I could, and I cannot find anything on edema.
Paul, the edema is (essentially) very mild swelling, one of the signs of inflammation. OTOH if that's all that's going on, it's most likely a Very Small Thing. If it were me, I'd ignore it, but if you can't let go of it then it might be best to call your doc to discuss.
Thank You Scott,I am seeing my GI very soon, will discuss then
