Yes, but only while sleeping. My surgeon put me on augmentin as he thought it might be diversonary pouchitis and allowed me to have my takedown 2 weeks early as it was really annoying me. I have no issues with leakage at all now...only VERY infrequently and very minor if I am sleeping way too deep.

I am assuming you mean the pinkish mucous that occurs before takedown (not stool). This is very normal.

antibiotics, like augmentin, won't do squat for diversionary pouchitis as it is caused by lack of "fecal stream". So the only thinngs that might work are short chain fatty acid enemas (SCFA) which have to be obtained with a prescription at a compounding pharmacy, or an enema like Rowasa.

This just sounds like normal "bypass" output. Some stool gets by the ostomy at times, and it can be expected. I don't know why they don't tell folks about it...
