Yes, i did email his nurse and she did say they continue to be active but I was hoping to hook up with others who have had Dr. Schiller as their dr for the Kock Pouch. There is nothing better than to get an unbiased report from someone who had him as a dr. for this procedure. I know they would give me some names of patients but of course it would be the successful patients and I would like a mix of different types of outcomes.
I have seen Dr. Schiller for a Consultation because there is no K-P Specialist in my insurance plan. He is the closest to where I live and he made a very good impression on me. VERY NICE AND INFORMATIVE. I am trying to get him as my KP doctor after my insurance approves and maybe finally he will solve my problem.
I have burning pains around my pouch, which make my legs and body weak. I know I have two more stones in the pouch but Dr. Schiller thinks that is not my problem. I sent him my CT Scan's from my GI doctor and hopefully after insurance approval, Dr. Schiller will find out what my problem is. Sure would like to have my spunky self back. It felt so good to finally have a doctor that knows what I am talking about and doesn't think I come from Mars. I lived 30 years with very little problems and no help from a K-P doctor. Now I need that special knowledge from a K-P doctor. Will let you know when I get results.
Dr. Schiller is the best Dr. Surgeon I have ever met. He did my pouch. Every time I have had a question or concern he calls me back, and I don't mean calls back in a day or two, I mean within mins, to maybe a few hours depending on how you answer his phone message. I can't say enough about him. I have had a lot of surgeries with other dr. But Dr. Schiller really does care for is patients.
