Dosage amount for Pepto Bismol

my doctor started me on 2 tablets in the morning and 2 before bed. he said that if i needed a third dose in the afternoon, then i could take it, but i do fine with the morning and night. personally, i love and use PB every day, but i generally have more success with it after a course of antibiotics to really knock out the pouchitis. i've been on it for close to 3 months now i think without having to go back to antibiotics.

great to hear!! if you aren't taking immodium, if you take that in between PB doses, that also will help slow things down further.

I do take immodium also but it does not seem that today I need to take it as much. I am truly amazed how much better I feel with just taking a couple pepto bismol pills. I have had my pouch almost 20 years now and had always just taken cipro. How much immodium do you take with the PB?

I typically take just one Immodium before bed. If needed, sometimes one later afternoon since my frequency is generally up from about 5pm til bedtime.
