Before having all of my surgery when I had ulcerative colitis, the drs gave me predesol enemas, colifoam, mesalazine and other foams or liquids to use to control my UC. I am wondering if these may have a similar use in treating Pouchitis. Has anyone tried this?

Yes. Some of us use these for pouchitis. Just like UC, with varying effectiveness.

Thanks Jan, I had some predisole enemas left over so I decided to do my own trial because Iwas going to have to wait a couple of weeks to see my surgeon. I have definitely seen a big improvement which is a bit of a surprise as previously with UC nothing used to work. I am much more comfortable.
At least now you will have something more to discuss with your surgeon! Don’t cancel that appointment.

I have no intention of cancelling my appointment. I haven't used the enimas for one day and today I am getting the cramping back.
