I'm ready for a new GI. I'm thinking "why not Cleveland" where I had my surgery -- most appointments are televisits anyway, right? Anyone have a strong recommendation?

Dr. Tracy Hull is, I am told by her former Cleveland Clinic colleagues, the one to see. You have to get them all your records before they schedule you, and depending upon what state you are in, may be able to schedule a video appointment.
I saw Dr. Tracey Hull and really liked her. She was thorough and straight forward, gave me lots of her time (although I waited for a long time while others had lots of her time ha ha) and told me that the procedure I was hoping was for me would not work. She is, I believe, a colo rectal surgeon. (She was recommended by Dr. Bo Shen. )
She is one of the top colorectal surgeons in IBD from a core that were together in Cleveland and then, with the exception of Dr. Hull, dispersed to other institutions. Dr. Shen among them. I'm sorry to hear your hoped-for option was not advised. Are you still seeking other surgical opinions/ other referrals? Or are you satisfied with the answer you got?
Thanks everyone. I’ve had my surgeries—I’m looking for a gastroenterologist as stated in my post. Dr Hull was my surgeon for steps 2 and 3 but now I need a good clinical jpouch doctor.
In response to your questions AMB, I was confident in Dr. Hull's assessment that the procedure (for pouch/vaginal fistula) which would have been done by Dr. Shen, would not have been successful. I continue to look at potential solutions but, for the most part, just live with it.
jfill21, could Dr. Hull refer you to a GI doc? She must have working relationships with appropriate doctors. Also, there must be others on this site that had to change doctors when Shen left and can suggest one for you. Good luck in your hunt. We could all use a doctor with pouch awareness.
I met with Dr Dietz at Cleveland clinic in March 2022 for concerns relating to my Koch pouch (Barnett) which I have had for 42 years. As a patient and now retired physician, I was very impressed with his clinical acumen
