I've had this problem ever since UC and still deal with it 20 years later with my J Pouch. Does anyone else have this problem?

My psych doc is wonderful and prescribed Gabapentin, normally for menopaus hot flashes. It works wonders for me, but sometimes it makes me loopy or makes me just fall asleep if I am not staying busy/active.

I overheat very easily, especially when I'm at work. I always have to wear as little/light of clothing as possible to work, which is tricky since I'm a teacher, and even then my students are always complaining to turn down the AC or turn up the heat. I always just figured it was my metabolism since I was up and moving around and they are sitting still. Though I do know a couple other teachers my age that freeze all day and dress in big coats when they teach.

However, I sometimes have the opposite problem if I sit still for too long... so I'm not sure it's the same as what you're talking about.

A few more details would help us understand: Are you hot all day long, or just in flashes? Does it happen more when you do certain activities or are more active? Is it affected by different environments/weather/temperatures?
