Had the scope done this past Thursday, still have some pain today from it. Feels like gas pains but I haven't had relief with being able to empty. Today it's been just as difficult as it was before. I'm worried that the stricture was not my main issue.

Another possibility is that the stricture is stubborn. Plenty of folks have posted here that they needed numerous dilations to solve the problem. Since they have typically reported success after sticking with the treatments, it seems like some strictures just require persistence and patience.
Why not call your doc to schedule an examination to see if the stricture is resolved?
This was just done this past Thursday, would it already be back?
It seems like the first dilation sometimes does little more than enable the second dilation to be more effective. I don't know your particular circumstances, DG, but it's clear that one dilation is commonly insufficient. It's a heck of a nuisance, but there's still plenty of reason for optimism. I do suggest you discuss what's reasonable to expect with your doctor.
I'll be able to contact her via email tomorrow but I'm not beginner with dilations. This is my 3rd or so on this j pouch run. I had a few ony previous pouch attempt
