Hi.  I’m not sure if it’s just a coincidence but I’ve had a blockage that landed me in the hospital a couple times now after aesthetic Botox/fillers on my face. The first time I didn’t realize the connection.  Has anyone else experienced this?   I wonder if it’s the Botox or the filler?  The thing is, I’ve had it done before with no reaction as well. 🤔 On many occasions.  I would like to have it done again but obviously I do not want to risk another bad reaction.  I’m wondering  about getting a tiny bit spread out over a couple of treatments so that it is not too much at once. Thoughts?  Thanks! 🙂

Hmm....the botox is not supposed to be injected into blood vessels but if it accidentally was I would expect that you would have had a more systemic reaction (paralysis).  Perhaps a tiny amount did wander into a blood vessel and that is all you needed to trigger your gut?  Can they find a physical cause for your blockage such as adhesion, twisting, or food bolus?

My second thought is...why get botox at all if you have these reactions?  I totally understand that physical appearance is tied to all kinds of things but unless you need it for migraines then just let nature take its course.  You are beautiful just the way you are!

Yes, I have a lot of scar tissue and have had blockages even non- Botox related.  So it’s hard to say for certain.  That’s why I asked, I was curious if others had experienced this or if it was only me. Could just be coincidence.  Does not sound like anyone else here has experienced this so I do not have enough evidence to go on here unfortunately.
