Devrom - is it useful and safe?

I used Devrom (the internal deodorizer pill) when I had an ostomy bag. I haven’t tried it since I had my Kpouch. I don’t see any side effects when doing research - unlike with activated charcoal. Has anyone tried taking Devrom with a Kpouch? Does it work? Did it cause side effects like thickening the output too much to pass through the catheter? I’m taking an international trip and I’m looking for options to reduce odor of my stool. But I don’t want to cause much worse issues.
