I had a puoch scope yesterday and was told that my pouch was damaged by the radiation for colon cancer that I had done 5 yrs ago. I was told the pouch is not easily distensible and did not demonstrate adequate compliance. There is mild erythema and some friablity of the entire pouch. So i was told that I will probably need new pouch or reversal to the bag. Just wondering if a new pouch can be made and what people know about it.

If the rest of your small bowel is undamaged it is possible to have a pouch redo. Some people have had pouch redos twice. I seek a surgeon with skill and experience with pouch reconstruction.
