Hi. I have cuffitis, about 5 centimeters of colon left. I have steroid enema therapy. Do you have experience with that? If so, after how long did you feel better? After stopping steroids, he should take mesalazime enemas. Thank you

I have been on daily canasa suppositories for the last 18 months.
I have elected to continue taking them indefinitely.
i never want uncontrolled inflammation, dysplasia and potential cancer in that area ever again.
What are the symptoms of cuffitis?
Did you think it was pouchitis but antibiotics didnt work?
The symptoms I experienced were cramping, spasms, urgency.
i also had somewhat bloody stool and reddish residue on the wipes I used to clean up with.
my biopsies on pouchoscopy show chronic ulcerative colitis in the cuff.
I’ve never had a case of pouchitis. Antibiotics work when I have SIBO (3 times now).
Does mesalazine give good results?
Canasa suppositories are 1000mg of mesalamine, and yes it keeps the cuffitis under control.
